The Ps4 is assumed to be killing in black Friday sales over the Xbox one. If this is true and pushes through the holidays; what does this do to xbox one and Microsoft? For me, it’s about the timing and percentage of effort put out by Microsoft. A lot is on the line folks! Microsoft has laid all cards on the table and given over the company basically to support and help push the Xbox one. This year is the greatest culmination of deals, games, and technical upgrades ever done by one company in basically one years time( referring to their turn around). Microsoft did like 3 price cuts, gave up to 3 games away at one point, and killed the Kinect. They have opened up cores, delivered on the most exclusives, modified ram power, upgraded the OS to UI, and finally brought backward compatibility to the system. I mean they have delivered for their fan base. But if this doesn’t deliver promising results in sales I fear Microsoft and the fans may be looking at a very scary time. Why? First the timing. They have done every thing really possible and gave their best round. This will not be done next year. Yes, you might have more exclusives coming next year again but you won’t have these many changes and advancement in one year, like this year. So if this year doesnt do it why would another year of it do it. You will never see this many changes and advantages in the Xbox one in a one year span again. If this isn’t successful enough all you will have is a premature firing of your biggest and best weapons before the war is ended. It’s like the EMP firing in the city in the movie Matrix Revolution. All you did is leave yourself more open when the enemies gather to launch their real assault on you. It bought you time but nothing more. Ps4 has weapons they have not fired and when they do hit they will hit hard. This is where the percentage comes in. Microsoft fired big cannons with Tomb raider/Halo 5 and others this year. But they did so with only 12-15 million fans out there. Ps4 has yet to fire some of its biggest guns because they know they need more market share so that they make the most out of their sales(probably the smartest thing Sony has done)

things like VR, more cores being granted for more power(that’s happening now), a updated UI possibly for them, games phenoms like God of War and Grand Turismo and others. All of this will hit with over 30+ million people waiting. What does this deliever in the media, to people’s mindshare beliefs, and to the pockets of Sony? Brings on that Cash money and utter and complete dominance for PS4. It’s more than likely their plan all along now that I think about it. Let Microsoft blow their guns and wait on them to slow and run down, then they attack. Look, I’m still excited as a xbox one gamer but I’m real about the situation. Microsoft needs this holiday to be a success( by success I mean cutting into ps4 lead in the US and or globally). If it’s not a success then I can’t see the company holding on to their stance of not selling it off. Maybe 1-2 more years before it has to pull the plug on the money spent on xbox one or the making of a new system(if they aren’t already). It about money and investments. You don’t keep throwing the same amount of money behind a product that never produces. But either way the fans will suffer the most if it does end up south(both ps4 and xbox one). We all need each other for our platforms to grow.
