IGN: The PS4 Pro is a premium-looking machine that offers a lot of extra power for developers to exploit. But right now, even on a big and brilliant 4K screen, the differences are often not stark enough to make standard PS4 owners jealous.
The PS4 Pro has the raw power to potentially deliver greatly enhanced graphics, and in time, with more support, it will likely do just that, but right now, it’s just too much of a crap shoot.
Eurogamer : There are no system exclusives, the library is the same, and existing games will only run better if developers go back and patch them. If you own a 4K screen or are considering a purchase, the upgrade will be highly worthwhile, but what’s clear is that there’s little here likely to make your existing console obsolete.
Gamestop: Graphics enthusiasts may appreciate the improved anti-aliasing and more vibrant colors, but the differences likely won’t blow most people away.
To put it planly, the PS4 early reviews aren’t making many believe. These words and statements from some of the biggest supporters of PlayStation(not some random Xbox site).. don’t paint a picture that most would have loved you to believe about the console. Let the earlier fanboys tell it, this system was going to be more powerful that Scorpio and the be all to end all consoles. Even the developers statements have been pushing the hype train with many declaring massive differences and levels not ever witnessed on a console before. However, these statements don’t paint that picture at all. What this tells me is what I thought from the very beginnning. That this console was nothing more than a Xbox one S upscaling console with HDR support. I believed that the difference seen on the PS4 PRO were no better than the difference made in the Xbox one S vs it’s original system. And if these people can barely tell the difference in the Pro vs a regular PS4 then I very sure it’s going to be even harder to tell me the difference between the Xbox one S vs Pro. But hey, they could be wrong. What you see and others are subjectable. We all know those people who either refuse to see what is there or sees what is not there. And I’m sure we will have both come Wednesday night. If you haven’t pre order never fear, you still can. Why? Because not very many people bothered to rebuy a PlayStation just for slightly better graphics.
